This will surely help those with the chipping yips.

I said "This is a very nice one plane swing", meaning as defined by JH, but if you're copying the swing from the book it's slightly different so look at this info. Did you read the post i suggested? It covers exactly this topic. Maybe if you did i wouldn't have to waste my time replying to your comments.
Who cares if it's ... By: wongfu82. on 04 Sep 08, 09:17:28 Who cares if it's not a "JH textbook" one plane swing. Labauve himself even comes from underneath on the downswing. As do most legit one-planers (Scott McCarron, Hunter Mahan, etc.) If you look at some of Jeff's other videos, you'll see that he uses JH's one plane philosophy as a basis for his swing and teachings. I distinctly remember JH saying that as long as you are not making 1p moves in a 2p swing and vice versa, you'll be fine. JH has swing footage in one of his secrets vids.
The post on the ... By: stephenperera. on 03 Sep 08, 16:00:07 The post on the forum is JIM HARDY talking about the swing HE TEACHES. If you look at late Hogan footage he does just this. Have you seen the 2005 show from the golf channel academy live where JH has Peter Jacobson go through the ops positions? I have very little footage of JH swinging. If you have some post it, i'd love to see it. From what i have i'm not sure that you are correct about JH's own swing. Anyway as i said i'm paraphrasing from JH and giving a source, not just offering my oppinion.

However, If you are trying to replicate the ops from Jim Hardy's book exactly it is slightly different. It was just a ... By: steelman3686. on 05 Aug 08, 00:37:57 It was just a thought because....well first of all its in the first book in the in the impact segment..what i was thinking is because his shaft is in a more two plane postion....that is its at the same place it was at address he did not turn his shoudlers fully through the shot. So the reason why I was thinking his students caught things then is because they do not have the correct amount of shaft lean on the club at impact, because shoulders are not turning fast enough.

I imagine this to be behind my set-up for example the wall to the left in your video. Perhaps "to the left and a little bit behind you" would be more accurate e.g. far left corner of the room you are in. Maybe you just want to exaggerate the feel. For me, when I tried this, I felt I had to go through the "stop" position rotating the right arm in the wrong direction. Please let me know if I am way off.

I'm constantly ... By: MikePedersenGolfTips. on 09 Sep 08, 22:36:33 I'm constantly working on tempo. Use to just "jump on it" and try to hit it long, but that was not helping my handicap. Now I've given up 20 yards off the tee and at least 1 club with my irons and am hitting the ball much more solidly. But...why do I hit my shots on the toe 90% of the time?
Jeff, can I see ... By: jason11605. on 05 May 08, 05:13:58 Jeff, can I see your driver swing video at front angle? My friend look at my Driver swing and he is pointing out my head should be moved back, so my left eye should look at the ball behind. I look at your iron swing and notice that it is not true. Is iron and driver swing should be different? In fact, sometimes I do out-in swing when hit the ball, so my right shoulder comes first.
One plane in my ... By: jritter5. on 19 Apr 08, 22:15:24 One plane in my opinion is based more on arm swing and shoulder tilt. The flatter arm swing, then creates the necessity to stay more on your left side as you swing. Stack and tilt "seems" to be based more on creating a steeper body lean that then requires a flatter arm swing. Both are similar. I do not come from a stack and tilt information base, but this is my opinion as I see it. The S and T guys may explain differently.
Jeff, what are you ... By: juicyfruitzy. on 19 Apr 08, 10:52:52 Jeff, what are you thoughts on stack and tilt?
It doesn't seem like you are using it. I like the idea of striking the ball through one plane. But I hear stack and tilt is a more efficient way to do it. Please ellaborate.
Thanks, xoxo

Good question. ... By: jritter5. on 08 Mar 08, 22:54:32 Good question. Address and impact are different with the hands being more neutral at address and more forward at impact. This address position in my swing is a little exagerated due a previous problem i had of whipping the clubhead inside during the takeaway. Since my takaway has been fixed, I have decided to just leave well enough alone. In general though I would prefer to be a little more neutral. Thanks for the question.

I altered my posture and worked on getting the club to be 90 degrees to my spine. Still have much to work on, but the material you have posted gives me clear direction.

Sh#$8ing, is a ... By: jritter5. on 30 Dec 07, 21:25:05 Sh#$8ing, is a result of a) being too flat or b)having poor measurement to the ball. A one-plane motion has a fairly flat arm swing, but make sure the shoulders offset this with a steeper tilt. If this looks ok, practice the "Heel to Toe" drill. Intentionally set the ball off the hosel at address, then feel your arms pinned snug to your body at impact as if to try and make contact off of the toe of the club. This will ensure that your arms are not "running away" from your body at impact.

By: jritter5. on 28 Jan 08, 02:14:23 Due to the rotary nature of the swing, the weight must move more toward the left heel into the follow through, even showing some degree of roll in the ankle as well.
