did the same handful of directors do EVERY new wave video? they all seem to fall into several distinct looks: industrial, cartoonish, or operatic melodrama. NOT EVERY SINGLE ONE OF COURSE, but there are defenitely patterns here. Check out ABC Be Near Me and compare the style of the set.
