True. I've looked up the name Virginia and I found this in regards to the female name- "The fem. proper name is from L. Virginia, fem. of Virginius, earlier Verginius, probably related to Vergilius (cf. virgilian)." The very earliest use of the name Virginia was related to a female version of a Roman male name, evidently.
