It's that last sentence in your statement that I'm talking about dodge69874. A POS grocery getter Civic with no Vtek and no mods can pull a burnout with the right tires - it doesn't prove anything at all. We all know that a small burnout right before a race will heat up the tires for better traction. This type of burnout shown here is retarded. Just .02 - no biggie.

It was more a generic statement that burnouts prove nothing and how sick I am of seeing so called "racers" pulling burnouts to try to look cool yet when they do that on the street they end up losing to cars that should be slower than theirs. If you want to prove how much tq and HP your car has - a dyno is a better way to do it. If you wanna prove how fast your car is - a track is a better place to do that. Unfortunately the US doesn't have very many tracks 4 us road racers to prove our cars on

Furthermore, I do apologize about the redneck statement - I forget cause I live in a land of Rednecks driving "American Muscle" and doing endless burnouts at the light when they should be trying to hook it up and win the race.

Oh no doubt - I make no illusions as to the speed of my car in drag racing [Then again my car wasn't built for drag racing either] nor did I say that this particular car would be slower than mine. I'm well aware of what the car I built can and can't do.

400 bucks of ground up rubber
By: poolshark100. on 21 Nov 08, 01:17:12
thats cuz theres a dodge with a cummins in the background idling at 1500rpm :)
By: Hotdog6962. on 20 Nov 08, 23:06:16
i can almost assure you that if you pull up against something that makes this much smoke, let alone have TWO turbos, you are gonna be smoked. and why do we have to be rednecks?
By: JumboshrmpXS. on 20 Nov 08, 21:16:38
Exactly. He must have been on dope. What a stupid word for "cool". A 4-5 second burnout is cool, but any longer is just stupid.
By: deathninja16. on 20 Nov 08, 00:12:14
uh but you wouldnt hear a turbo.
By: RudolfKarlDiesel. on 18 Nov 08, 18:53:04
as i've heard the corvette diesel will be produced in 2012... ...but it's an intresting idea, just have a look at the AUDI R8 TDI, it works.
By: splynt0r. on 18 Nov 08, 10:41:48
Fuck you fool. It's dope, look what he did to the tires.
By: ElliotB16. on 17 Nov 08, 21:58:30
why not?
By: trow16. on 17 Nov 08, 16:48:24
Thats awesome...he's practically IDLING and he's roasting the tires! I mean seriously, that sounds like at most 1500 rpm.
By: PerryFan66. on 17 Nov 08, 00:23:28
whats the point in that? he could have done that in a stock vette.
By: uknumberone. on 16 Nov 08, 09:45:17
A turbo diesel corvette??? The credit crunch must have hit America hard.LOL.
By: 12345678now. on 15 Nov 08, 22:05:23
Damn, that was a good burnout! lol
By: danskdk. on 15 Nov 08, 20:06:07
diesel at a vette?! thats gay! waste of money and time
By: fordmoparguy. on 15 Nov 08, 02:13:06
who would of thunk it?
By: plumcrazypurp. on 14 Nov 08, 06:34:37
the main reason new deisels don't smoke is because of the DPF, if you remove the DPF from a brand new deisel it'll smoke just like an older deisel. well, maybe not quite as much smoke
By: chevyduramax2007. on 14 Nov 08, 05:55:00
black smoke from diesels are actually not completely gone with the new diesel engines the new diesel engines dont blow black smoke when theyre stock but they do blow black smoke if you have fuel delivery upgrades or if you have a programmer in them the only programmer i have seen that keeps the diesels from smoking is the banks and those are POS from the ones i have seen you could also do fuel upgrades and then a turbo or cold air intake and the turbo and intake will reduce amount of black smoke
By: dodge69874. on 14 Nov 08, 05:54:53
Yeah, serjmaster12 is right. Not only do they give you added traction but they also show how much torque you're ride is putting out.
By: negativeindustrial. on 13 Nov 08, 22:32:55
No I got that - I do a fair bit of track racing myself tho most racing I do is hillcountry road racing [Twisties and shit]. But I'm talking about people who street race that spin tires at the light or at the tree at the track - it's stupid. Rather than trying 2 look cool they should learn their car better 2 put just the right amount of torque 2 the ground 2 slightly chirp each gear so as 2 get max launch. Most people do but there's always the occasional rednecks and ricers who pull this shit.
By: GangsterB30. on 13 Nov 08, 04:32:38
now thats torque!!!!
By: rotundrooster. on 12 Nov 08, 22:18:05
LOL black smoke is gone? haahah stick to gas engines.
By: serjmaster12. on 12 Nov 08, 19:36:22
you must have never seen under the hood of a vette before, more then enough room. second the black smoke from diesels long gone with new diesel engine's. so now im starting to think you dont know shit about cars or engine's.
