i like homocysteine

WebMD for info.

Meat, then sulfur-containing homocysteine, then heart disease, stroke or blood clots. Meat causes homocysteine to build up in the blood.

anyway crisism is kinda boring. wheres vegansnow hes much more entertaining
By: bigusdikus0. on 22 Nov 08, 01:50:24
all species adapt to differences in their environment and different environments. humans have varied their environment more than other animals due to migration and impacting their own environment. so humans have a great bioindividuality that hasnt been investigated much by science because theres no money in it.
By: bigusdikus0. on 22 Nov 08, 01:47:10
also humans have different dietary needs based on heredity and other factors. animals do too of course but they dont have the sophistication to develop diet technology.
By: bigusdikus0. on 22 Nov 08, 01:44:52
actually theres no such thing as a species. any species is constantly evolving and adapting to its environment. so a species would not necesarily have the same genetic "script" as it had 2 million years ago.
By: bigusdikus0. on 22 Nov 08, 01:39:42
crisism thats an interesting fairy tale about humans and ice age. if you use words like genetic script and homonidae instead of actually saying something it sounds much fancier. its still wrong tho

well i just hate it when these "people" say they are smarter than people who eat meat yet they act like children and hit "spam" for when people tell them the facts. well TRY to.
By: wharffratt. on 21 Nov 08, 23:24:05
well said ironman! these bleeding hearts are much, much too emotional and self righteous to ever admit that there are millions of health conscious individuals, who are in perfect health, and eat meat. I don't criticize others based on their personal choice of diet, and openly admit that managed vegan/vegetarian diets are perfectly healthy. These cowards don't have the guts to return the favor....too busy blowing up research labs that produce life saving tech/medicines.

"A human body has the ability to maintain excellent health and longevity through a myriad of diets, including vegan, vegetarian, and diets that incorporate meat. Bleeding hearts conveniently and willfully ignore the irrefutable fact that millions of health? conscious meat eaters live long, disease free lives, devoid of the ailments they allege he'll succumb too. Bleeding heart is much, much to self righteous, sanctimonious, arrogant, ignorant, and above all else gutless to admit this fact"

i refute it so its now refuted.

humans have naturally evolved in northern climates. theres new evidence that even the earliest hominid actually evolved more in europe than in africa as was earlier believed.
By: bigusdikus0. on 21 Nov 08, 21:33:35
eating meat doesnt make anybody fat. too much sugar does such as the sugar in fruit
By: ironman711. on 21 Nov 08, 20:54:47
well you call me names on here AND on my page and i didnt delete your comments cuz i find them rather hilarious. seems like you are afraid of criticisms from people other than vegans. you add other vegans to make yourself feel that people actually like you, when in fact they only add you cuz of your name VEGANsnowboarder, not because of your personality. otherwise you wouldnt have any friends.

"wharffratt, You were the one who made the false claim that I would be deficient in magnesium."- vegansnowboarder this is a lie, as I have never made such a claim. The only claim I've made it that humans can maintain excellent health though a myriad of diets, including vegan, vegetarian, and diets that incorporate meat. feel free to provide this alleged post of me stating you're deficient in magnesium, otherwise you're just a liar.

bigusdikus0 "have you ever heard of evolution crisism?" "We get vitamin D from 2 sources, sunlight and in animal fats" adequate sunlight exposure provides the optimal form of D. Supercharged vitamin D metabolites are impeded through dietary D. Vitamin D is more like a hormone. Dietary D does provide a warehouse of D but it is a compromised form that impedes supercharged D (1, 25 D) synthesis. This is why northern latitude cultures suffer from more MS despite having D in fish and meat.

bigusdikus0 "u dont know what ur talking about. some places winter is 6 months" These extreme/marginalized environments are areas in which NO hominoidea have naturally evolved. Such extreme cold is not suited for warm blooded creatures such as great apes. People can choose to live up there and adapt behaviorally by using tools to stay warm, extra sun exposure & consuming vitamin D but humans haven't evolved biochemically to nutrient requirements. Humans remain specialized frugivores.
By: Chrisisms. on 21 Nov 08, 10:19:08
Latitudes below 34 degrees allow for cutaneous production of vitamin D throughout the year Vitamin D. Modern Nutrition in Health and Disease, 10th ed., 2006. This latitude approximates the ecological niche of hominoidea. It seems no genetic mutations occurred to adapt to decreased sun exposure. Complex biochemical processes of dietary requirements are very slow to evolve (if ever) without selective pressure before breeding age. This is why there is ascending latitudinal deficiency for D.
By: Chrisisms. on 21 Nov 08, 10:10:27
Most people meet their vitamin D needs through exposure to sunlight..UV energy above 42 degrees north latitude is insufficient for cutaneous vitamin D synthesis from Nov-Feb; in far northern latitudes, this reduced intensity lasts for up to 6 months. Latitudes below 34 degrees north (a line between Los Angeles and Columbia, South Carolina) allow for cutaneous production of vitamin D throughout the year Vitamin D: new horizons for the 21st century. Am J Clin Nutr 1994;60:619-30. But D is stored

Go to "view all comments" at bottom, click newest comments, scroll to the 18th page (~May 8) there is an abbreviated yet unrefuted list of frugivorous genetic adaptations. This list was provided after repeated requests/challenges for just 1 morphological adaptation to feed on meat over ANY available amt of fruit. (Hint- there are none). Humans are specialized frugivores. After u catch up we can cover inability of humans to digest vitamin A in meat/converting beta-carotene in fruit etc.

warpedrat "United States has one of the lower personal tax burdens of industrialized nations" Nonetheless, the lion's share of government subsidies goes to the meat/dairy industry so that socialist meat feeders receive meat at the same cost as crops which are cycled through the meat at ten times the weight of the meat. When your meat is as cheap as veg something is wrong not right. But that's a political issue just like all decisions to eat meat post ice age- nothing to do w/nutrition/genetics.

Individuals with a body mass index (BMI) ?30 typically have a low plasma concentration of 25(OH)D; this level decreases as obesity and body fat increase. Obesity does not affect skin's capacity to synthesize vitamin D, but greater amounts of subcutaneous fat sequester more of the vitamin and alter its release into the circulation. Decreased bioavailability of vitamin D in obesity. Am J Clin Nutr 2000;72:690-3. So all u obese cow feeders be careful.. Extra fat limits D synthesis.
