You know that it was proven that plants know that they are being killed? Trees in areas where other trees have been cut done have had higher levels of chemicals that indicated that the tree is under a lot of stress. So what about that? You are still killing a living thing to eat, except that plants do not have very good ways of defending themselves. You just pray on the weak.
