I think Reagan is a bit overglorified. He was GREAT on foreign policy and his tax cuts and drop in gov't spending worked well at the time, but the problem was the precident he left behind. The over spending during the Regan Administration was due to the Democrats in Congress but the Dems like to blame that on RR who was opposed to spending without compensentory reductions which the Dems would not do. RR also rebuilt our Military which was gutted by Pres Carter. That led to the end of the Cold War and the end of the USSR through the space defense system. Do all of you liberal democrats forget that during the Reagans' administration the US went through the longest uninterrupted economic expansion in peacetime in the twentieth century. The unemployment created by Carter was dropped from 9.4 to 5.5.
