I thought so. The shape of the sail gave it away first for me. Then the bow shape and flood holes along the side along with the shape of the top of the hull.

Which subs are better than what German subs? I hope you aren't talking about the type 212s. The scorpene certainly isn't better than that.

He leido eso por hay , que los S80 seran superiores a los Scorpene. Algo mayores en desplazamiento, con AIP y periscopios fotonicos y un sistema de combate similar al de los Virginia con 2 puentes, ademas de que la propulsion y la firma acustica nos la quedamos nosotros. Es verdad todo eso? Osea los S80 seran mucho mas que meros Scorpene "apañoles" ? ^^

En enero del 2005, el submarino estuvo realizando pruebas de mar cerca de la costa de Francia, y cuando intentó emerger sufrió un escorado de más de 60º de inclinación. Según los expertos este es un incidente muy grave. El escorado puede producir daños en efecto graves a las baterías derramando el electrolito, además de otros daños a los equipos de abordo. Esto fue informado muy escuetamente por la marina chilena el día 12 de enero.

este submarino de la clase scorpene fabricado mayormente por francia comparte mucho de su tecnologia, metodos de contruccion y materiales de los submarinos nucleares franceses, hay submarinos no nucleares mejores que los nucleares como son los submarinos de hidrogeno-electricos alemanes. en Chile y en España se hace lo que puede y no es cuestion de ponernos a comparar y discutir

I said "relatively", because nowadays the nukes that are the most widely used are ten times more powerful... And remember that Hiroshima was mainly composed of wooden buildings, it helps a lot when you want to "erase" a city.

Hiroshima weak bombs? 10 or 20 of these bombs can crush an entire nation. But Spain is a pacific country we don´t need developping massive destruction weapons, only if were necessary in case of Self Defense.

I don't get the idea of "similar weapons to nukes"... What do you mean? Some kind of radioactive bomb? Of course Spain has the capacity to make nukes, but developping efficient nukes (like thermonuclear ones) takes lot of time, money, and needs nuclear tests... (cf mururoa, about wich all the world screamed but which was necessary to validate a new warhead and to validate the simulations... the best you can expect nowaday from a new nuclear power are archaic and relatively weak bombs (Hiroshima)
