When they said McDonalds they weren't trying to broadcast a subliminal message. And then they had someone to tell you that the message was not subliminal. What bullshit! I believe they would have kept rolling with the subliminal messages but someone was like "did you see that! Its a quick flash of McDonalds! I'm going to show it on Youtube!" Then McDonalds is like "Oh FUCK! we've been caught! Hurry say something to make us look innocent and try to prove that we don't do subliminal messages!"

Subliminal advertising doesn't work in the sense that it's going to suddenly hypnotize you into a craving for that product. That doesn't mean flashing a logo for a brief second wouldn't serve the exact same purpose as putting an advertisement on the side of a bus. And you're just drinking Kool-Aid if you think McDonald's is too wholesome a company to try that sort of thing. Don't play corporate apologist. They overpay enough suits to do that for them.
