The only problem I have with Koodo is that they try to claim that there is no cancellation fee or activation fee with their service, when there really is. If you realize that EVERY phone company has these hidden somewhere, this isnt too much of a problem. Another thing I dont like is the VERY limited selection of phone models, which right now are the LG VX8700 Shine flip, the MOTOKRZR, some lower level motorola flip, and a base model Samsung flip. All have cameras though.

Hi Hun, If u get a programme called Magic Video Converter it works perfectly & quickly. Everyone told me they had to be AVI's but to use in Windows MovieMaker its actually WMV's!! I think you can get a free trial. Hope this helps :-) You can then play around add music etc in MovieMaker. If u need anymore help let me know, as I think I have managed to suss most of it now.

Greetings: I think that High Definition video in these small pocketable camcorders is still in the infancy stage. On a 8 gig SD card, you can do 2 hours of HD video quality. After having this camera for 15 months or so, it has now gone to camera heaven. I subjected this camera to lots of abuse and taken it into the water much more than the average person would ever. Pool parties, ocean snorkeling, taking it below allowable depth. I'll miss my Xacti. R.I.P. I'm now waiting for the new HD800 coming out soon and get a waterproof case for it if I can find one.

The YouTube version of this video is very poor compared to the actual video which is smooth and sharp. The low light ability of the camera is not bad. The one complaint that I have about this camera is that I wish it had a large detachable view finder for underwater use.

The image stabilizer could be better. This video was my first and was made when I just got the camera. I've improved my technique since then. Check out "Big Island Dream". Not too bad considering I'm being jostled around by waves while snorkeling.

I have to tell you that I look in sanyo web page to browse the manual, but I couldn't find it, so I went to a big electronics store in Madrid (Mediamarkt) and they showed me the manual. I have had the camera-corder long enough now to only obtain newly; your info on wide lenses and the availability of 8g card. . One other thing you could have added is the 42 min capacity in HD mode for a 2gb card is the sweet spot for most of the video that a general consumer would like to take. Most of my tapes for special events only use about this amount of time.

Hi, I was going to buy the 'Sanyo Xacti VPC-CG6' until I discovered this HD2 camera and your review of it. The main complaint I had for the VPC-CG6 I heard was the only 7 hour battery life, and records to MP4 file which have to be converted. Would you recommend the HD2 over the VPC-CG6? The mic does fit on the HD1010, but the knurled ring of the mic rubs on the back of the flash unit just slightly as the ring is tightened down, then pressing hard on the flash unit. It does go, but I plan to judiciously trim a little of the ring so it does not touch the flash unit.

yes, the Sanyo flash should not really get in the way too much, but you cannot really practilly shoot video, then take pics with flash at the same time. buy a separate digital camera for the job like I did, then you will not have to reliant on the Sanyo HD1000 As a point and shoot camera, cuz its really not. sorry! - but thanks for you question John, take care...
