Jonz, What loophole are you talking about? And there's no reason why individuals can't get started now working on alternative fuels. Go right ahead. But that's not the government's responsibility; they don't have the authority to do it, nor would they do it efficiently. It would be a transfer of billions of dollars from taxpayers to large corporations. The government should spend as little taxpayer money as possible, so people keep more of their own and spend it wisely.

I thought it was called "Real" News. There's no guest there to balance out her liberal claims. The consumer should reign in big oil. But they need an incentive, like the price of oil going up. But right now, it's dropping. So people aren't likely to switch to something cleaner. She blames the increase in the price of gas on oil companies, rather than our monetary policy of deliberately lowering the value of our currency, and the foreign policy of bombing places where we get the oil.
