so are we able to see some evidence of net neutrality? if an internet provider did try to do this then they would lose a hell of a lot of customers within a day. no major internet provider would try to pull of a trick like this, simply because organisations like the competition commission would be pounding their face into the ground within minutes

wait a minute... Obama is in favor of freedom of choice when it comes to the internet, but when it comes to things like our freedom of choice to listen to non stop conservative talk radio, we don't have that right??? HOPE AND CHANGE MY ASS. I can't wait until 2012.

He censors his own channel, thats not even possible, its editing your own channel, if someone else edits it, its censorship. Obama edited his won channel, didn't censor it. He still supports net neutrality.

I quote from Obama: "the internet is the most open network in history, and I am willing to keep it that way" Obama 08

i do believe that's the fucker who manages his channel. It's still very stupid

Obama practices CENSORSHIP on his Youtube Channel yet agrees with NET NEUTRALITY!?!?!? he is confusing!
By: ImNotYourFriend212. on 17 Oct 08, 19:40:41
This is exactly what's happening to me. Do NOT use Verizon DSL or their cellular phone service or any service affiliated with them(pretty hard in a world where everyone[company] controls every damn thing).

What's up guys? This is not spam, just a guy looking to protect the Internet. If you're interested in building and expanding the Internet while also making a shitload of money at the same time and not being completely dependant on the American economy, check out my page. Either way, do whatever you have to do to save the Internet from all censorship and restrictions. It is our savior and our only source of truth. Fight the good fight and build and expand the Internet in any way you can.

By: Namari12. on 25 Sep 08, 21:30:41
I see your point, but I think.. all things considered, I'd rather have this in the hands of the government than in the hands of corporations. Corporations *obviously* stand to gain a lot in having monopoly over the 'net, and left to their own devices, they'll never leave it be. A law saying "The net must be neutral, and if companies violate this law, the FCC has the obligation to stop it," on the other hand.. at least you can petition the government in a way that you could never with a corp.
By: tartsphere. on 25 Sep 08, 19:48:07
Yea but even that's scary to me, I mean more power in the hands of the FCC or in the hands of the corporation sucks. The FCC may be doing whats right now, but how long will that last? I really don't know what the fuck we can do to fix this mess.
By: Namari12. on 25 Sep 08, 18:07:04
.. I don't think anyone is talking about "artificially setting prices".. Honestly, at this point in time, if ISPs were honest about their promises, most of the US should have fiber optic cables; they received a $25 billion dollar tax write off in the 1990s from the government to improve service, but were never held accountable. So where is that money sitting? In someone's pocket, I'd imagine
By: Namari12. on 25 Sep 08, 18:00:06
Perhaps we should be lobbying for not only a law that says "You must leave the net neutral", but another law that says "The FCC has regulatory power over ISPs", eh?
By: smartbuy5. on 25 Sep 08, 00:59:58
true.. if they do this shit.. im going on a rampage!! muhaha wanna join? hehe
By: bobobalog. on 24 Sep 08, 17:29:22
Unless they fucking block proxies or make them really slow. DURRRR
By: DirectQuestion. on 24 Sep 08, 08:14:10
No need for rude words. The army uses the word neutralize instead of kill. Just like they use in hospitals expire instead of die. I am all for net neutrality it's just that these videos that I saw never really explained very well which side the people are and which side the corporations are so I mixed them up.
By: MrSlapAHore. on 23 Sep 08, 23:14:54
@ Direct Neutrality doesn't mean kill, even though this is what CoD4 taught you, neutrality DOES NOT mean kill. Neutral= Not against or assisting either side in a war, dispute, or contest Dipshit.
By: smartbuy5. on 23 Sep 08, 20:25:49
just use a fucken proxy server.. and then u have access to any damn website.. this net neutrality is pissing me off.. =/
