nope.. chuck berry was first. he came out with that bluesy/rock'n'roll solos. elvis is a great singer. but chuck berry was first in rock'n'roll. +chuck made his own songs, elvis just sung them..therefor chuck more tallent?..but still elvis is such a good singer.. they are both legends. both in ther way. you cant say who is better..

Dude, because Chuck Berry had milk-chocolcate colored skin doesn't mean anything about "black culture." Chuck Berry was a country Southern boy, just like Elvis, Little Richard, Buddy Holly and Jerry Lee Lewis. That's why they all sound alike. Elvis had a natural swagger and a great voice and he could dance pretty well. Whatever flimsy point you're trying to prove about "black culture" is just silly. It's American. All of it.
