Unless you have the full facts you cannot comment. All complaints made against police are investigated fairly and if the officers have used excessive force then they will and must be punished, however only the police complaints department will have all the facts, so although it looks like the police are being brutal there may be more that we dont know. You can clearly see that he is struggling and maybe the officers had information to suggest this male was dangerous and required a firm response.

I ask that anybody who thinks that this use of force is unjustified in this circumstance joins the Special Constabulary. Then (and unless you're too afraid to be single crewed on a Friday or Saturday night when faced with today's drunken Underclass) you may encounter such drunken violence. When you're bitten and you contract Hep B for example you may have thought "perhaps I should have carried out that pre-emptive strike afterall" This Use of Force is wholly justified on this occasion.

You're the perfect candidate to live in a police state. You probably already do so enjoy it. The rest of us aren't too thrilled about the idea.

Oh and the mirror go over the top with the military hero buisness. Fair play to him what he does for his job is above and beyond what most people would do, But How is that at all relevant to the assault. I'm sure if it was some chav had this done to him it may just of made a small coulum in the local gazette, if that.

Police went a bit far, well the fat one did, but you can hardly call that brutal violence. Besides I'm sure he hardly felt any pain until the morning, not only would he be hardened through front line military service, but I'm sure the alcohol and adrenalin helped.

I'm often on youtube defending police in these police brutality videos, but this time it is very clear that the police officer punching the guy and scraping his head along the road is a complete and utter idiot and needs to be sacked.

Police are not the law, or above it, as everyone is equal under it. Thats your birthrights. Police dont even enforce the law, they enforce bills, acts and statutes that are corporate rules given the force of law by the 'consent' of the governed. No consent, No Jurisdiction. Not that these poor examples of officers would uphold that position. They should be removed from the force with immediate effect. I wonder how far they abuse their powers in the cells and arming thugs with tazers, oh please!

This is the norm in north wales. I was scarred for 4months after my face was rubbed into a door mat by three bobbies. I was charged with drunk and disorderly and 6 cops were called to give evidence. The video player in the court broke before my hearing and three cops hand wrote their notes the morning of the hearing. Verdict? Guilty. Sentence? Absolute discharge

That is shocking...one of our war heroes gets treated like this, is this what this country is coming to? A uniform gives these officers power and authority to protect and obey the law. These men have sickend me with there cowardly behaviour on a hero to this country. Ramming his head into the floor and scraping it across the pavement surely can not be tolerable behaviour by the police force.

This sort of behaviour isn't new from the police, maybe because it happened to a white member of the public it's getting such coverage. The fact that this guy served his country militarily shouldnt matter, and deviates from the issue at hand. The nurse down the road is also serving her country and is helping to SAVE lives on a daily basis. Note the stress on SAVE not KILL. The police forces have always been full of societal rejects who should be cleaning our streets, rather than keeping them safe
