I prefer macross battles more; theyre more hardcore and eye popping and they test pilot skill as opposed to showing off the mechs capabilities. Gundam is usually about one mech or group of mechs superiority over the others, and the combat is more sword based or powerup based. As for story i think gundam pulls of politics alot better and has that realistic warfare feeling. whle macross is better with romance and maybe drama

The original Japanese OVA was dubbed in English and in Japan is referred to as the "International Version", but I think the only differences (besides the dubbing itself) were a few song changes (the English version of the song "Voices"). The version you mentioned with new concert footage and Guld's extended death scene is actually just the movie version--it was just never dubbed in English.

Actually, the transformation is more complicated than what is shown here. The "arms" do lock into the "shoulders", but you have to open up another lever first to reveal a deep slot that the "arms" go into to snap. It seems the toy was better designed for robot/attack mode because once it is correctly transformed it balances nicely due to the large amount of metal in the "feet".

VFX did not have Hikaru and the rest in it, it was a side story with an unknown character set after the original macross like in 2040 something. I have all the macross games minus that of the PC engine. I am a huge fan as well. The game is not Saturn only it was ported to the PS1 back in 99 with with new CG that the Saturn did not have.

Nice, but everyone is getting the system right, bu the title wrong, It's Macross Digital Mission VF-X. I know cuz I'm a huge fan of the series, the Do You Remember game was Saturn only and from what I've seen doesn't have any of the same cut scenes that the Sony game had. I probably should figure out some way to rip my version of "Do you remember" the movie, you know the uncut unedited one that only the voice acting was bad in but is still the most accurate translation of the movie to date.

Damn i used to watched this Anime Series when i was little but i couldn't remember anything, what i remembered was i playing the game from Nintendo, i can only imagine that. The Anime was released/born in the middle of 1984, 2 years before i was born. Then that means they re-rolled the movie again like in 1990's.
