In this video I am picking two locks, a Master lock and a knock off of the Master lock. I bought my lock picking set from www.LockPickShop.com , but you can also get the same set from www.LockPickTools.co m.
Also, the reason why I am clearing my throat alot is because I had a cold.

It normally is the case that the more expensive ones are easier to pick. because they are more defined and the pins are easier to get to. on this cheap lock i have i cant actually pick it bcos im not even sure where to begin i cant even find the pins which is odd.

I have only been messing around with picking a few months. What I have learned so far it seems the better quality the padlock the easier it is to pick. Is that true or just by chance the locks I have been using? The junk cheap ones I've tried gave me fits.

if you push the pins up without the tension wrench, they would just fall back down. turning a tension wrench keeps the pins tight with friction. when you pick the pins, they will stay up
By: aslefhin. on 22 Nov 08, 15:41:15
Can someone explain what the tension wrench is used for?

im learning. tried the garage door with paperclips. yeah its a much longer process for the first few times. especially without the right tools

they have, some locks have moddified pin shapes that make it harder for a lock picker to picture whats going on inside the plug

You can make these tools real easy out of old hacksaw blades and a grinder, theres loads of vids on here that show you, I made my own to start with then when I got the hang of it I bought some southord picks and to be honest they're not really much better. but like ppl said, it takes a hell of a lot of practice and patience to do this and you never stop learning.

Electronic locks are open to more flaws than traditional ones. At least picking these requires skill.

By: NS0885. on 11 Nov 08, 10:26:59
It is still not as easy as it looks. Dont be fooled. Locks don't change.. so after you learn what pins are in the lock it is easy to pick over and over

By: stchman. on 29 Oct 08, 22:36:11
I am scared, I thought today's locks were more pick proof. This video shows otherwise. I am surprised lock manufacturers have not done something ot make their locks more secure.

My friend just snapped of his key in the outdoor lock to his appartment block because he was using the key to the inner door of his actual appartment. He got the broken portion out of the entrance door but of course he couldn't use it to get into his apparment....this video has just showed me how to do it. I improvised a twisting tool (to keep tension on the lock) and a picking tool to lift the cylinders or whatever they are called. Anyway, it worked! Worrying thing:if I can do it, anyone can!
By: elobire. on 23 Oct 08, 14:59:59
where can i get lockpicking tools?
By: TRSkele. on 23 Oct 08, 12:20:41
Ofcourse it isn't impossible but if you happen to lockpick an abloy without knowing the key combination, then go ahead, record it and post it.
By: fishboy01. on 23 Oct 08, 11:58:47
but abloy isnt impossible to pick. if u have the right tools.
