disco was gone by nov. 1980 but it was bulls**t that they didn't have some station to the left of the dial for underground dance music like they thankfully did for alternative music in the early and mid 1980s

I was born in '78 and though I was very young at the time this came out, I definitely remember it. They might have remixed the song or re-released it in '85 possibly but the original is most definitely from 1982. This song is timeless. You can still rock this in the clubs and get people out on the dance floor.

You must be right. I saw the year '85 from another vid, which was a remix. They weren't clear whether that year was about that mix or the original. I'm from '73 and only remembered this as being from before the 90's.
