Damn, how did it finish the 1/4 mile in 4th gear? On the Lancer Evolution 8, the 4th gear ratio is about 1.03:1 Which means it can do higher speeds than my evo 9 in 4th gear (1.100:1) What I'd like to know is how did it manage to do 158 mph in 4th when my 4th gear tops out at 100mph @7000rpm and 120mph @8000rpm. It would have to be 9500 rpm or a built transaxle with custom gearing. which one is it?

The original is still the greatest. But Nilsson saw the true potential of the song. He recorded it in the same studio where the Badfinger boys were working on their next album. It's not that he's playing "wrong notes" but rather that the original lead guitar solo was played using a slide guitar style (ala Foghat, or Duane Allmann, etc.) which he chose NOT to do, (for whatever reason...) on this live performance. So at that point, he had limited options and chose to play notes using a standard blues "bending" technique to best try and recreate the original sound minus the slide guitar/"Bottleneck" feel! Get it?

However you can see the street in him when he's off camera and it's sickening. It'll get the best of him in the long run and he'll be finished. I don't know of anybody online who has more than three hundred thousand in their account who isn't a "pro". The thing Ivey knew that Booth knew that he had a high pocket pair. The cards have so little to do with it at this level. Booth picked his situation and played the man. It worked probably in part because it's the kind of play that Ivey likes to make, and Ivey had already taken a couple of lumps. 300K for anybody is a lot to lose.

Ivey wouldn't re-raise with AK or any pair below J's most of the time. Although your point is well taken. Still Ivey knew that Booth knew that he had a high pocket pair, and if he had really flopped a set or better wouldn't have put Phil all in on the flop. I think the reason Ivey didn't call is that he was too far behind to be wrong in that position. On another night it very well might not have worked. As you say you have to pick your spots.

Consider the action pre-flop: Williams makes a standard raise, Booth re-raises, Ivey raises again and Booth flat calls. Ivey would not re-raise with AK or any pair below J-J--and he knows that Booth knows that. Booth takes advantage of that fact post-flop. You really have to pick your spots in cash games.

He's apparently "the best in the business" but with horrible reads like this, he does not deserve that title. Daniel Negreanu is a much better reader as seen in the WSOP amazing reads videos.
