Mickey "Love"??? - You fall into the same childish behaviour others resort to when they have no rational was of debating. You call me names as if that proves your point. It's still gossip and I feel sorry for you.

My source is Wikipedia, oxes045. And yours? I doubled-checked. I agree that "coached" probably overstates the influence. But unless Wikipedia is badly off, "paid some attention," certainly understates things. According to Wik, they played extensively with Ringo, George, and John after the Beatles' break-up. Sure, tons of bands were influenced by the Beatles, but only a relative handful were chosen by Beatles members to perform songs by Beatles members that Beatles never commercially recorded.

even though ur comment is a year old .... youre wrong .coached by the beatles? not. Influenced by the beatles?? so what , who wasn't . If anything George and to a lesser extent Paul paid some attene\tion to them but to say they were coached ..... thats plain wrong

Ive watched this video quite a bit and to me it looks like Joey is having a fun time, Tommy is into his harmonys and flowing with the music and Pete is kicking ass.
By: MickeyLove01. on 04 Dec 08, 09:55:17
No need to be sorry. I have no idea what there is to "prove" or gossip about? If you're just being a cunt then that's fair enough.
By: blizzard00961. on 04 Dec 08, 09:48:36
Mickey Boy - Still gossip and doesn't prove anything. Sorry.
By: MickeyLove01. on 04 Dec 08, 09:34:26
What are you talking about? Before I was shown this on the rock and roll years 1971 I think it was, she said to me about why they'd fallen out that day before filming. Please don't base assumptions on your own life and it's events or the lack of. I wouldn't give a toss if she was related to Bob Plant.

Mic - Sorry mate, sounds more like gossip than "fact".
By: MickeyLove01. on 04 Dec 08, 08:36:28
My ex-wife was related to Pete.
By: blizzard00961. on 04 Dec 08, 00:52:12
I did. For the most part, Tom was serious during this performance. At 2:19 he gives a serious look over his shoulder to Pete and at 2:40 he smiles. I'm anxious to hear how you "know for a fact" what you are claiming.
By: gvalley07. on 03 Dec 08, 18:50:25
I think this band would have done much better if it had signed with another label other than Apple. The Beatle-influence probably stiffled their creativity. Apple was poorly managed at this time. The Beatles (with the exception of McCartney) were not good businessmen. It also didn't help that their management was a bunch of crooks.
By: khj93play. on 03 Dec 08, 17:29:09
They were kind of queer looking as most of the English acts were in the early 70's. However, I use to love this groups Beatle influenced sound.
By: MickeyLove01. on 03 Dec 08, 10:12:29
Look again, but this time all the way through and towards the end. If you still don't see it I'll tell you how I know for a fact.

What a fabulous band ... always my fave songs, but I never did get to see them. How great is YouTube - it's like seeing them live. So so sorry to know that some have passed away -- time time time. Music is definitely not as good today ....... and for those with nothing good to say, why bother??
By: rbbgolfer. on 01 Dec 08, 21:37:19
the lead vocalist here is terrific-right on pitch, with lots of power and intonation. if you listen to the Knack's "tribute" cover of this song, there is a huge difference; the Knack's vocalist is weak compared to this guy...

god bless the complete tools, they make the rest of us all look better.

Some are dead, but at least they left something meaninful, they did not just passed by life....what for me is a great achievement. And much more than most of us will be able to do. Let them rest in peace...while we enjoy their legacy.
