I live in the US and have family in Canada (Mississauga) and when I go up there are when they come down, I spot an accent. It's subtle, but still there. Some words are more obvious than others, such as Mazda. In USA i hear it with a softer a where as in CA I hear the harder A. You also talk more clear than people here.

These aren't accents. This is a cute, funny guy who can do voices well but who has almost no ability to do accents in Spanish. And as he admits in the end, he never said he was any good at this. Yeah! Mr James Schamus can be very proud of him. He killed the magic and the romanticism of the movie with only three words. Just compare the answers of Ang Lee and Tang Wei to the same question. New York was dead on, and the south was good, but I thought it was a little exaggerated. "Mainstream America" sounded more like a Middle California accent, try a Seattle or Oregon accent for that.

I'm from the deep south of Texas and I hate to say it, but our accents are different from the "southern" or "midwest" accent you did. I know you were just making a general statement, but the south varies greatly in accents. If you want to try a Texas one, you'll have to drawl out more. BUT, wow. Amazing video, it cracked me up. Now, i tell u how to separate them into agudas, graves and esdrújulas.You have to see how many syllables the word has, after that, see where the non-written accent is. If the stress is in the first syllable(aguda), if it's in the second(grave), i the third(esdrujula). Agudas: hablé(ha-BLÉ), ble is the 1st syllable and ha the 2nd. Lección(lec-CIÓN) cion is the 1st and lec the 2nd. Graves:Pelota(pe-LO-ta), amigo(a-MI-go). Go is the 1st, mi the 2nd and a the 3rd.Esdrujulas(always written accent):
