Im 15 years old, and my mum has this on tape. i found it in a box and shoved it in, thinking "Ohh i bet this is going to be really cheesy!" but, WOW was all i could say. This skate was just... outstanding. it sent chills up my spine. Torvill+Dean are the bomb

Wow - Thanks for posting this! I was luck enough to see this in '84 broadcast live and it was absolutely awesome. It still sends shivers up my spine even now - maybe not as technically brilliant as some might say but to this day I have never seen a piece of ice dance as moving as this. The chemistry in this piece is just unrivalled - absolute genius!

As a cynical Englishman I've always presumed that Torvill and Dean were somewhat overhyped and was watching this expecting to be able to find a fault. But I can't lol. As the commentator says, it was not technically the hardest skate ever but artistically it was brilliant. It was truely perfect dancing on ice!
