I had that problem and it was the cabinet that was bended, but I got that fixed for free by the warranty. So just go ask your local mac store if your warranty will cover it.

Lack of compatible software, that is turning into a myth, if you are going to get serious on music, for example, get a Mac. the same vst pc version vs mac version, i guarantee it goes better the mac version. Also if you need stability go for the mac, i have both and my pc child puts me on trouble from time to time, so i cannot rely saving my data on a Pc anymore, or record audio, or programming, so i love the Mac

the "routers" you buy from best buy or elsewhere are not routers, all they do is PAT, they dont route traffic. Its basically a switch with firewall and PAT capability. As a developer the underlining APIs for windows are a mess and indicate no improvement so how do you expect what is based off them to be astoundingly better. They don't improve them either. They replace them, so instead of a another cycle of development on a current code base, they just get rewritten in a different style and often are having to support the old and new spreading developer time even thiner.

The post is a little late, but I've been in Iraq kicking ass. This Guy, Pirillo, is an idiot. Let look at the problem. Computer works. User install 14 Updates. Computer is fucked. What the fuck are you asking about the bios for? Easy solution, boot the machine with a Bart PE or Vista PE disk. If it runs good with no issues from the CD/DVD then the user will have to re-install the fucking OS. Do you, Pirillo, even know how to recover the users data? Not likely..you fucking joke!

First make sure that it is pluged in and the cables are in right! And then get access to an account with admin rights Go to administrative tools and go to computer management. Goto storage , Disk management. Then on the bottom find your disk and say repartition it. or do what you want but at the end you need to right click on it and say Change drive letter and path and give it a letter... then goto windows explorer (not internet explorer) and it should be in there

Computer guy who replaced the hard drive said it happens to one third of the hard drives. I kind of doubt that... Hard drive is still usable (gonna convert it into an external hard drive) it's just that I would like to have a ton of memory.

No, no format. Just, lost a ton of space. Did nothing to it. Woke up one day and POOF it's there. (Excuse me for the overuse of POOF). It was a 110 gig hard drive, and suddenly it told me I was using all of it up (30 gigs gone, another 50 gigs for backup which I couldn't delete (I found it out after they backed everything up on a new hard drive, the "invisible" file was just SITTING there. And I was genuinely using 30 gigs). NOT a format issue.

You always lose some space when you format a drive, assuming that's what you mean. If you have a 160gb drive it'll typically be 150gb when formatted, it' just the way binary works.

I'm a Comcast tech I can tell you 80% of my trouble calls are customers fault. Ive seen everything from bad cable in the home. Comcast guarantees 12" past the ground block just like the other utilities phone electric gas. I have a xbox 360 sharing internet with my computer via LAN adapter. My ping, at night is always low. comcast told me to get a router. Even if i not using the xbox 360 my speed falls almost everyday now. Right now I'm watching this video and its buffers every minute, I'm paying for 6mbs what the hell. At the end of the day the CODE is the actual product, not all the mindnumbing documentation. The documentation should be a map for the developer so he can keep track of what he is doing or for other developers to quickly figure out how the system works so they can maintain and develop it in the future... I think what he's getting at is, what is right for you to learn as a first language. I do agree picking the language that suits the job, and in a sense you could say you're picking the right language for the job (which is learning). You don't want to start off a new programmer with C/C++. Python or C# are much better languages to learn first, as they teache you a lot about OOP and various other important programming idioms :)

I use a Samsung D900 running Symbian. I like the 3.0 MegaPixel camera on it. Take a lot of pictures and of course always have my phone with me. I also have an iPod Touch right now, and when the 2-year plan that I have with my Samsung ends, I'm seriously considering an iPhone 3G. By then the software is probably up to something around 2.3.1 and the price might be even less then what it is now.
