I was involved in this industry for may years and can verify that all allegations are true. The cruelty inflicted on these and other animals is beyond comprehension. jacksspot - You are right. The UK has some laws that better enforce the humane treatment of animals. As you said, meat that is free-range and organic is the way to go. The majority of people go vegetarian to boycott the factory farming industry; which is what was depicted in this video. If enough people boycott the industry, change will arise. Oh hell, I slaughter a chicken once in a while for the dinner table. And anyone with brains thinks giving out painkillers to cattle during branding time is out of their mind financially speaking. Study after study has shown that vegetarians and those who eat only small amounts of meat are generally healthier. The myth of "protein deficiency" is espoused by the meat and dairy industries. Hi Mariam, I made this couscous vegetarian as it was a request from a viewer, but you can absolutely add meat. You can add lamb meat or chicken drums. Add the meat in the beginning with the onions and let it cook for a bit while you are stirring. You will have to double the amount of spices (to your taste of course). Hope this helps! cheers
