Someone wrote in one of the posts for his recipe videos, quote 'You have to trust A chef who digs into his stuff so heartily' So true. This guy is amazing. Here in India, this is precisely the way tandoori chicken looks & the taste i'm sure is perfect. I haven't tried it but the texture, color & the amount of spices is so right!! Butter Chicken made my mouth water so much, I had to go to a restaurant the same day and have it with Cheese Naan. Fabulous. Keep on Chef

you will get it at a typical indian store. lots of such stores in cities like philly, new york, baltimore, la etc. the item you want to look for is: "kashmiri mirch". it's a mix of spices and pepper that also adds coloring.

remember, if you're patient, you should keep the tandoori chicken in the paste for as long as possible (some people keep it for 2 days) to get as much of that taste in the chicken. also, for health reasons, i'd minimize the oil and even then use olive oil. i love tandoori chicken.

Its just red food colouring, you can get it from any supermarket, its used to colour icing on cakes and things. The tandoori chicken recipe doesn't need it for flavour, but it does make the dish look fantastic and vibrant.

Hi. How do you do make it naturally red? I've never made Tandoori Chicken but I've bought all the ingredients and will probably make it tonight. I've only had Tandoori once in a restaurant and it was perfect. However it didn't come with any side dish and I am still wondering what would fit the chicken well so that the dish isn't to dry. Any ideas?
