Agree. Whenever you make the slightest critique of Scorsese or his movies, people call you a retard.

To be honest with you, I think this scene could have done better. Pesci could have said more creative trash-talk. I think the ego aspect is interesting. Pesci did ask DeNiro about coming out to vegad, but by the time this scene came around pesci thought he was the reason why DeNiro was importaant. DeNiro was runnignt hings smoothly before Pesci even came out to vegas.

Wow, I didn't notice that. But isn't it a damage in the film or something? Like, the sky is clear.
By: dickkwikkwek. on 31 Oct 08, 13:39:06
I think that's just to scare the people they point the gun at.
By: GetMeThere1. on 31 Oct 08, 00:47:33
Yeah. I can't count the number of movies I've seen where the guy racks the pump shotgun SEVERAL TIMES (in different opportunities for dramatic effect), before the gunfight actually starts--in practice leaving half his ammunition laying on the ground ;)
By: Immaculate416. on 31 Oct 08, 00:41:10
Its for the same reason that when someone is about to shoot someone in a movie they put a gun on someone for a couple seconds with suspense and then pull back the hammer and you hear the "click." I think they would have pulled back the hammer before holding a gun to someone in real life. It just sounds cool for dramatic effect. Which is what movies are not reality, but drama.

Yeah but "The Ant" was already dead when this film came out
By: GetMeThere1. on 30 Oct 08, 07:36:00
And the reason you can't even fake it in real life, is because if you LOOK at somebody like you're REALLY gonna kill them--then maybe the guys gonna REALLY kill you, because he feels he has to protect his LIFE--it actually becomes a matter of life or death. In the movies, Pesci could act as far-out as he wanted, without fear.
