Great review, but can you demonstrate the sound functionality & volumes (including ring tone, alarms, etc), because this has been reported to be quite problematic on 600 & 900 series. Would be nice to hear before you buy. Also queries re Outlook/Exchange functionality on this device, and ability to and functionality/flexibility wrt selecting comms method (phone carrier or 802.11g) when using apps that require internet access. Hoping you or other users can help with updated youtube review.

I contacted HP and was told there is no way to change these soft keys through a utility. I suggest you do a Google search for Pocket Tweaks as this is a registry editor that may have this functionality built into it.

Works like a champ with T-Mobile too. I popped in my SIM and it went right to the HP iPAQ manager that put in my settings automatically. This is truly a world phone with quad-band GSM and tri-band HSDPA/UMTS so you get it all in a single device.

It's essentially as good as the best that's already out there for touchscreen smartphones - which means it's not really that great. I've been using the HTC tilt for about 6-7 months, and it's hard to see in direct sunlight, even with my other hand shading it. Even so, it's not much of a concern since you get used to the layout of various menus over time, so muscle memory kicks in when using the touchscreen in broad daylight.

Intel version of OS X authenticates with the TPM to make sure it's running on an Apple Mac. There are ways around it. Macs still have a regular BIOS, it's just abstracted. - victort08 Mac's used to have a TPM, however they don't now, instead it is software based where supported hardware is written at the binary and kernel level. Mac's mainly use EFI, however there is BIOS support so a Mac can use Windows. The hacked OSX mainly emulates the EFI so it can be installed on non-Apple hardware.

This game sure owns a lot for Max Payne. It has much more things to do when in action, though, but this is also much more movie like, or unrealistic on that matter. I guess Max Payne (1&2) tried to have at least a little balance between more realistic and movie-like action. This'll probably be a good action game, but I liked Max Payne games also for their story. The story wasn't exactly the center line of Hard-Boiled. :)

i just got my 750 i ftw, its an awesomn board, it overclocks like a dream, and it was on a great sale at compusa... my q9300 runs at 3ghz very comfortably, only 2 things, you have to know how to overclock and understand the specs of your components(you need to input the proper clockspeeds for ram) and when overclocking you either need really good case airflow, or the really noisy chipset fan, or ek 790-680 south and north bridge water blocks. but overall its a great board!

Although this phone isn't as stylish as the iPhone, I think that it's functionally a better piece of technology. I steer away from Apple products anyway since I found out that Al Gore is on their board. I think that the man is a crock. It seems like Apple pushes agendas more than it promotes its products.

As someone who actually has a G1 as of 10-17 i can say i had many doubts about this device. I love the G1 but its not perfect, its potential is great. For example the hardware is pretty substantial, its a dual core qualcomm processor!! Plenty of memory and upgradabilty with sd cards. The android os is surprisingly hardy. I managed to crash it with a program that was unstable but the system came back quickly. Everythings open source so it will only get better. No stereo bluetooth or 3.5 jack.
