I absolutely agree, I'm 5'5 and 125 pounds, 2000 calories a day would lead to most people in this weight bracket to put on weight unless they are unusually active. It depends on your metabolism and the type of foods you eat, but in this instance I think 2000 calories is used more as a guideline than a real recommendation for everyday eating.

Yeah I agree. Follow what your body wants. Eat when your hungry, and stop when you are satisfied. You need to feed your body what it needs. I weigh 115 pounds and i'm 5"8. I eat about 1,800 - 2,100 calories a day. But i'm pretty active. On days when i'm at home by myself. I eat probably 1300 calories because the foods at my house are a lot more low calorie than what i eat out with friends and on the run.

The idea that most women need 2,000 calories a day is crap. If I ate that much I would be overweight. I eat about 1,200 to 1,500 and maintain a normal weight of 120. I am 5'5. How much you need to eat depends on your frame, height, level of activity, ect. It's not the same for everyone.

I think its probably more useful that they focus on the skinny people - most of them don't seem to realise the dangers of their diets. (Because 'skinny' in our society automatically means 'good'). I'm talking about the Federal Income Tax. Police are paid by local taxes, roads by gasoline tax, schools by property tax, etc. The Federal Income Tax is a voluntary tax. There is no law that states we must pay it or fill out a 1040. Our country has been in existence longer without the tax than with the tax. 67M have stopped paying because they realized that it was a voluntary tax. Citizens get no benefits from this tax.

Im getting tired of arguing with you neanderthals, so this'll be my last comment. I care about humans and animals but we shouldnt compromise the lives of one another, for example it doesnt make sense to protect an endagered species and let natives starve. People's hearts go out to the goriila but what of the African hunter gatherers who needs meat, that is not to say of poaching which is vile in itself and is a crime. It would be easier to sympathise for animals if the people preaching these ways didn't always come off so iritable. I'm all for animal rights what they do to bears and their gals is just awefull but I still beileve we have the right to butcher animals for consumption and commercial use. What I don't support in anyway is PETA they just go to far with fire bombing pet animal testing labratories,and spreading propaganda about the holdings of animals in butchering farms and dairy cattle.
