I think you might be the only person ever who had a problem with a Memory Man lol. Not having a go at you, I just love the sound of those old things. pity they're so damn expensive. I love my DL4, I can understand how it could be too big, but I really need that dedicated tap tempo swicth, plus the ability to have a few simultaneous delays. Mighty friendly of Line 6 to put some of the awesome sounds of the DL4 in a stompbox though.

ive owned the dd3 dd6 dl4 rv3 memoryman bosspitchshifter/delay. dd3(eh) dd6(too clean) dl4(too big) rv3(boost to much) memory man(way to noisy, occilates waaay to quick) pitch/delay(good, but not great) echo park(right size, right sounds, enough settings to satisfy a total delay junkie) yet to hear a setting i didnt like. i think all those are good just a matter of taste.

I have both of DD6 and echo park. Echo park actually offers greater range of sounds and delay type than DD6. Yes, it's harder to use at first compared to dd6, which is straightforward. I believe 2 of them compliment each others. It depends what kind of setting that applies. I'm using one set of delay and the other on top. Mix and match, sound beautiful.

It doesn't have any latency. When the 'mix' knob is fully turned clockwise, all you get is the wet signal, with no dry. So you're only hearing the delays. Doh! You get loudest delays along with proper dry signal when 'mix' is at 12 o'clock. I wouldn't mind upgrading mine to a Boss dd-20, handy to have different presets, and it get's better reviews than the green Line 6 DL-4. Echo-Park is ok though.

I won't recommend this to any Edge fan. dissapointed on this delay pedal. it has noticeable latency when you max the mix. Most preset sounds harsh and garlbly. should have bought Boss instead.

i prefer the dd6 too, but the echo park can be handier if you want a u2 sound, and can tap quater notes to get triplets. though i prefer the crisper sound of the dd6.

I run a korg radias, emx and a kaoss pad and I just ordered this. my buddy just bought a microX and I think this keyboard is going to compliment my rig niceley. I like the ease of it, compared to the radias. The radias is cool, but at some points, its too trance for my taste, not saying its bad, but you really have to dig into it to make it sound dirty as hell. Im excited for this synth, and the price is outstanding for what it will do.

I don't know man you see the older SH-32 kicked the K-Stations arse into a new dimention when it came to pads...and I am some one who at the time had a KS-rack, A-Station, Bass Station and a drum station. I have heard some pople say though the SH-201 is crap compared to the 32 though. Virus synths though bore me...who needs 10000 patches, takes the fun out of making original sounds. If you want to sound like every one else and cash in get a virus

How can anybody compare this to a virus, it's like putting a ford focus up against a ferrari. This is a bigginers synth with an sound engine taken from the Vsynth ? Saying that is better than a novation is pointless , Novation goes for a much more subtle sound and a lot of there cheaper synths are 'jack of all trades' well master of some. I bet a k series can do do pads that this can only dream of.

sh 201 is plastic. and useless absolutely. virus ti and nord lead 2x brings us psy-trance and other godblessed music, sh-201 only for pop or something like it (in this demo guy plays fucking rap-pop). crap. the only good synths by roland are tb303 and jp8000

The answer is simple: the JP-8000 does almost the same things, while sounding WAAAAAAAY better than the SH-201. I've owned the SH-201 for a couple of months, now I replaced it with the JP-8000 and believe me, it's another world :-) And think that even the JP-8000 it's not as warm and powerful like a real analog, but it's nicely close

I tried out the Echo Park with intentions to buy but I was actually pretty disappointed. Check out the Marshall EH-1 Echohead for a great affordable delay. I think people buy Boss pedals when they don't really know what they are after. They are a good starting point and are extremely reliable, and at the end of the day you can get them modded. I've got a modded DS-1 with an awesome tweed like distortion.

I played on a real CS80 a long time ago and it blew me away. I have the Arturia soft synth version, and yes its great. BUT, I cant get any of the sounds from it to sit well in a mix with all my outboard gear. Its just too prominent ! I dont know whether thats a good thing or a bad thing. I wish I had £8000 to buy the real thing, but I dont think my studio floor could take the weight.

One incorrect piece of information in this video - he says the CS80 is in fact two four voice instruments (re: the dual panel sliders) It is in fact two EIGHT voice instruments .... each 'side' has 8 voice cards. I know 'cos I got one...;^)

Don't punish yourself. Get a CS-50... you'll miss out on some features... but the CS-80 and 50 use the same oscillators, etc. (just less of them). For the minor inconvenience of multitracking to get a CS-80-like sound, you'll miss out on major inconveniences like weight, price, and pitch issues... yet still get the delightful analog joy of the CS series. : )

It didn't sound the same but I got it to respond to polyaftertouch with a Kurzweil Midiboard and liked the results as I don't actually own a real CS-80. Do I still want one? Yeah!
