For what it's worth ... By: Profisizer. on 30 Aug 06, 04:07:20 For what it's worth Carlos played Switched On Bach on a relatively custom Moog Modular system. One major non-stock feature was touch sensitivity. The confusion lies in the album cover photo shoot used CBS's stock System IIIp as a prop, not Carlos' actual system. It is telling that no one at the Moogfest seen in the video played the Arturia software (though it had been out at least a year). I do commend Arturia for adding sensible improvements to version 2.

Not having a go at you, I just love the sound of those old things. pity they're so damn expensive. I love my DL4, I can understand how it could be too big, but I really need that dedicated tap tempo swicth, plus the ability to have a few simultaneous delays.

I have both of DD6 ... By: mutestart. on 29 Dec 07, 13:59:54 I have both of DD6 and echo park. Echo park actually offers greater range of sounds and delay type than DD6. Yes, it's harder to use at first compared to dd6, which is straightforward. I believe 2 of them compliment each others. It depends what kind of setting that applies. I'm using one set of delay and the other on top. Mix and match, sound beautiful.

So you're only hearing the delays. Doh! You get loudest delays along with proper dry signal when 'mix' is at 12 o'clock. I wouldn't mind upgrading mine to a Boss dd-20, handy to have different presets, and it get's better reviews than the green Line 6 DL-4. Echo-Park is ok though.

This is a bigginers synth with an sound engine taken from the Vsynth ?
Saying that is better than a novation is pointless , Novation goes for a much more subtle sound and a lot of there cheaper synths are 'jack of all trades' well master of some.
I bet a k series can do do pads that this can only dream of.

This is to be expected, since it's cathode-biased (has to be) and only 1/2 watt. Wish there was a way to make a fixed-biased version of this thing.

Software Emulation with maybe good patches, but in terms of originality and sounds its nothing special.
There is another product by WayOutWare wich is unbelievable: TimewARP2600. It's actually authorised
by Alan R. Pearlman. I've never seen a better emulation of an analog self-oscillating Filter. Go check it out(demo). (I know this sounds like counter promotion, but stuff like that makes me angry)

For what it's worth Carlos played Switched On Bach on a relatively custom Moog Modular system.
