Hi there! The sugar will be hardened when cooled down, please try to heat it up in microwave (20-30 sec) & see if middle softens If so, great! If not, add another 10-15 sec. try again. If that doesn't work, U could try heating a bit longer in the micro, then pour back into saucepan and add a tiny bit of water and reheat...pls tell let me how that works. :) 1st-3rd attempts can be tricky. :) talk 2 u soon! :) thanks again!

First batch (Dec. 28th) = total disaster! I got it out of the stove once it got an ambar colour. I then let it sit for 2 mins in the pan before pouring it into a glass jar. It continued getting darker and darker. I poured it in the jar, and let it cool - it got very hard :/ I'll watch ur 1st video again now and I'll try a new batch. Wonder what I'm doing wrong.

You are so very welcome! I can't stand long hairs, kind of gotten used to the sugaring so much. (laughing) I know it will work great for you; as long as it's not stubble-length, it will be perfect for sugaring. I look forward to your feedback, I'm sure you'll love it! I just made a new batch today! Yippee! take care and thanks for watching my video. I look forward to hearing from you again soon! Nina :)

Wow thanks for the fast reply, Nina. I was thinking about doing the Brazilian style indeed...clean the whole area completely hehe I let the hair grow 'cause I thought about waxing, but I've changed my mind after reading about sugaring. It's not an inch long, though. I can't stand that length. Hope it's ok the way it is. I'll let you know if I succeed once I do it :D I thank you so very much!!!

Oh, the bikini area is perfect place to start, make sure you trim any hair longer than and inch (I know, that's too much info) but, really, it's true, trim hair to shorten it just a bit and start with the area furtherest away (to get used to the process). I actually did a Brazillian style last summer...fantastic, but a lot of work! lol

hehehe...I have so many thank you messages from bfs and hubbys around the world. LOL...hehehe (I just feel out of my chair) LOL

I love using Eucerin (or the generic equivalent). It's great for this season...if you find that to be too heavy, I also love St. Eves firming lotion.

continued... The sugaring method will still work, right? I was willing to try the ball method. I hope I succeed, as it'll be my 1st time doing this. Razors are awful. All the girls here seem to be really pleased and excited, so I shall give it a try. Thanks for posting this videos and making girls prettier :) I guess our bfs will love you forever haha Have a nice day.

Hi Nina, I've used YouTube for ages, but only now I've decided to get an account here, so that I could post a comment. Your videos are awesome, I've watched them all. Your explain things SO well. I'm excited to try this sugaring soon. I've only read positive things about this method - unlike the waxing method. I'd like to ask you a question...I want a supersmooth bikini area now and I think this might just be the best solution. My question is: after a long time of shaving, the hair got thick.
By: shroudedinlite. on 20 Dec 08, 02:00:54
thank you!! i guess working over the stove is better since you have more control and keep a watchful eye over it. uhmm i tried making it like 3 times over the stove and it didn't work, first time i burnt it lol the second it became too hard and the third time it wasn't sticky enough... so i wonder what i did wrong. thank you! and thank you for replying!! =D

I forgot to address the rest of your comment/question. You will need to either reheat on the stove and complete the cooking process or start a new batch. It takes about 15 minutes at least on average for me to make a batch, the simmering and stirring takes a bit of time, please warm the sugar and pour into your saucepan and redo the process. It will be fine after that. Let me know how that works. Thanks again! :0) Nina

Thank You. But my sugar has been in the pantry for 2 days and it is still sticky. When I reheat will the consistancy begin to change and get hard? Also, what do you suggest for moisturing the skin afterwards?
By: redfootwalking. on 15 Dec 08, 01:25:41
In order to get the sugar in the ball; using the "ball method"; warm the sugar as you would normally do, spoon out or pour out the required amount onto a safe surface such as a dish or a marble or cutting board (not wooden). As the sugar becomes cool to the touch, you can form a ball, wait until it's almost hard. The warmth of your hands will soften to just the right consistency. :0) let me know how it works. :) thanks again dear! Nina

Hello! I'm thrilled that you tried the sugaring recipe and most of all that it's working well for you! :0) Thank you for the feedback and for the question... Sugar stores well if lidded and stored in room temperature or even refrigerated. Many people prefer to store it refrigerated, I just store mine in a dark pantry at room temp. :) Both work great. (continued below)

I have very sensitive skin and used your recipe on one leg on Friday night I am very happy to say all is well today with my skin. Question what is the proper storage? I have it in glass jars for now. Also, how do I get it to ball? When I take it out the jar it is extremely sticky and doesn't form into a ball. Please advise.
By: redfootwalking. on 14 Dec 08, 21:46:01
Thank you for watching my video!! You'll love this method because it's great for sensitive skin. That's one reason I've used it all these years, I am super sensitive...Summer time will be smoooooth sailing! :) hehehe Thanks again!!

Hi there! Thank you so much for watching my videos! :0) I love sugaring!! :) I believe you can follow this recipe in the microwave, but, be very careful to have a container that is either pyrex or other durable glass and is larger by far than the amount of sugar. It will boil over quickly, so, you'll have to take out and stir very often. I think it can work, but, it will be a very delicate operation so avoid spill over. :) Thank You again, let me know how it works 4 U! :)
