You can pick through what's be said and hypothesized and come to your own conclusions. Not that having a degree is the only way to that but it definitely helps, as well as to your credibility. I think it should be philosophical, bc that's what it is, it has deep roots in metaphysics and some existentialism, which is really cool and interesting. Don't forget that philosophy was the early science, so perhaps one day we'll solve the mystery of the conciousness, bc it interests me too.

Its not just this movie, but hundreds of books and movies on everything from ancient stories and texts, to astronomy, physics, neuro-science and so forth... al in al, the philosophical approach would probably serve me a bit better. Good luck pal!

You know we might ... By: Jim1905. on 19 Aug 08, 21:35:42 You know we might affect things more then classical science states, but I think making wrong assumptions about established science as your launch pad to investigate this is the wrong way of doing it. I believe a more philosophical approach should be used and then perhaps once we know more about our universe, through UFT, M-Theory, LQG, or whatever comes about, should we start making scientific progress.

I think this movie has a wonderful idea, positive thinking, that works philosophically and I agree with, bc negative thinking never helps. The problem I have is when it tries to pass it off as scientific, that it is a truth and not simply an idea, that it holds ALL your answers to ALL your problems. I'm glad it helped and you're not a moron, I apologize, you just seem enchanted by this movie (don't worry, I was too until I studied more QM)

I might be a moron (as you said) but Im not giving up the beliefs that changed my life and gave me the power to live my dream. Not for you or anyone. By: Jim1905. on 19 Aug 08, 21:10:12 The best way to sum up this movie is Richard Feynmans quote "If you think you understand quantum mechanics, you don't understand quantum mechanics" Feynman would be rolling in his grave now at the thought of how these new age people are taking a beautiful and established theory, QM, and using it as propaganda for their BS.
