Great heli just got my one a week ago

I saw some collivitive coaxil picth projects which actully works. Take it from the real life Russian Aligator coaxil helicopter which is very manvrable.

Fixed pitch single axis helis also behave poorly outdoors, and I wouldn't think its that difficult to have a separate collective servor to change the pitch of a coaxial heli. I wasn't suggesting a beginner build a coaxial heli with a variable pitch I was saying it would be an interesting project.

I knew about that, but that's (1) a real 1:1 machine, and (2) is run by combustibles, as opposed to an electric model, where the fixed pitch and PWM allow for the simple design we need. And no, a coaxial heli does not work better outdoors, it is specifically suitable for halls with no wind. And I stand with my opinion that a beginner heli fan won't be able to build a flyable variable pitch coaxial heli, let alone with 3 blades per rotor.

The Russians have been building coaxial attack helicopters for years eg the Ka-50 attack helicopter. It would be interesting to see how a variable pitch coaxial model heli behaves. It would certainly work better out doors.

The interference is sometimes terrible indeed, it can cause a crash as near as 6 meters from the pilot even if the range test went flawless. I will stick with 2.4GHz from now on.

I haven't seen any. There's no point in building one. These coaxial helis go for 2 goals - simple gears and stable hover. Both features would be next to impossible with your suggestion. Start with a coaxial heli and when confident enough, get a collective with a large training gear (you may need to make one yourself) and practise with that.

another thing about the 400 is the servos on my 400 don't center right so like every flight till i got the 65mg servos i had to make sure the swash was level
By: miniheli. on 15 Sep 08, 01:33:43
Ya I have 3 hs-65mg's but they dont fit on my minititan:( Ill put it on the blade 400 once I get it though.

for anyone that gets one, get a new gyro like the futaba 401 and servos like hitech HS-65Mg it will feel more powerful and more responsive. and if you want more power get the HK-2221-12 and esc

You should start with the blade cx2. It helps you get to know the controls and how to hover(Basic). I have one and I'm planing On getting the Blade 400. Hopefully I won't crash the Blade 400 badly:.

its different for everyone but iv spent bout six months with a blade cx 2 to sharpen the reflexes up. And then got a falcon 3d. its a really good begginers heli.

Hello. This helicopter is more of an intermediate heli. Its rtf which means its ready to fly out of the box. But if you crash it it you will need to know how to fix it. But this heli is very hard to fly for a beginner. I suggest using a rc flight simulator first before buying the real thing. I used a sim for 2 years before I got my heli. But you could use it for like 3 months for training or something. Yes its that difficult lol. O ya dont worry about doing tricks lol just practice hovering

Would these be any good for begginers lol

lol i want one.

The more you crash the better you get I guess lol. Ive had 2 helis which crashed the first time they flew. Found out that it was interfernce in the area I flew it in. Thank god they have 2.4 ghz radio systems now. Have fun with your heli!

"Is there such a thing as a variable pitch coaxial model helicopter?" Ya there are a few number of them because to make a variable picth coaxial heli you would need to build it almost from scratch. Hopefully there will be some nice kits in the future. I thought programing a helicopter was hard enough imagine a collective coaxial choper! yikes

I posted a video response above. I would much rather get the blade cp pro 2! Amazing helicopter!

the tail wagging is very apparent. other than that it looks like a solid heli...i have a gy401 gyro...i wonder if that would fix the wag problem seen so evidently in an official video...if you see it there you know damn well you'll have worse problems on your own.
