People in my country - India, use coconut oil all the time for skin, in West I have seen not many know that it is good for skin. The oil can also be applied to hair (leave Overnight) and helps to moisture hair nicely. It does get very greasy though so apply when not going out. Some good advice doc (free), thanks.

great info. It just started to get really cold here in NY and my skin was the dryest i had ever seen it. Its not so much anymore but I think a change in soap and eating more fish might have helped in my case. This reminds me to take my cod liver oil pills.

I used to eat raw eggs when I was bodybuilding back in the early 90's. These were just regular eggs and I never had any problems. Now I eat raw eggs that healthy organic eggs. I have absolutely no concern of problems. A strong immune system will take care of bad bacteria if it exists, and raw eggs boost your immune system anyway! I so wish I had access to raw Milk. I used to drink pasturized milk daily, but I quit after learning of the adulterations that occur in that store bought milk.

Great video! I have been using raw milk for about 3 months, and have found that if I drink pasturized milk now, my stomach immediately has problems. I absolutely wouldn't switch back to pasturized milk. It tastes so much better, too. I haven't quite made it to the raw eggs, but the egg nog actually sounded like something I could do. I believe that many folks like to think that soy can be eaten as an acceptable alternative to animal products. Regardless of your religion (or anti-cruelty to animal beliefs), I don't think that we can get away from the fact that our main protein source MUST come from animals (hopefully hormone free and raised the way nature intended). My particular rule of thumb is that if a food can (historically) be eaten and digested raw (botulism notwithstanding) it's probably meant for humans.

Soy is really that bad, or worse than he made it sound. It's a horrible food that cannot be healthfully eaten. Asians have been eating fermented soy products, and not for thousands of years. Only one or two thousand years. Plus they have only eaten soy in small amounts as condiments. The average Japanese gets a couple teaspoons of soy a day. It's still not good for you but fermenting it neutralizes some of the bad stuff.

I've been reading the same thing about Vitamin D and the misconception of skin cancer from sun exposure. It's amazing how we we're all doing the wrong thing by slathering on a sun block for the last 20 years and not getting the Vitamin D we so desperately need. Unfortantely if your life circumstance doesn't permit you to live where you can absorb those rays, then I guess the next best thing is to take cod liver oil with a minimum amount of Vit.D & A since it is stored over the winter months.

This is so true! Sunblocks are toxic. Sun is GOOD for you! My father had to spend five years at Mayo Clinic suffering with a serioius skin disorder until a very brave physician going against his collegues took Daddy aside and told him to dump all of the ointments and creams and to sunbathe naked without sunblock. In weeks he was cured.
