This is what FeyTH85 was talking about.
(see comments on Distractions by Blended & Bottled)
Sia dedicated this song to us three, and even though that's almost a year ago, it still makes me feel so happy everytime I hear this song.
Sia is the most awesome artist you'll ever see. She's one of a kind and that's why her fans love her so much and that's why she really loves her fans.

Iceskating in Groningen
Posted by: EddyBergman
Video duration: 132 seconds
I was visiting my friend Johnny in Groningen and we decided to go into town and take a look at the iceskate rink they installed at the 'Great Square' (Grote Markt) in the towncenter.
Btw, 'Oliebollen' (literally: oil-balls) are a tipically Dutch delicacy eaten around christmas time. They come with lots of powdered sugar.

I have a passion for instruments. I also have a big collection of cockpit instruments. Just anything with dials or indicators makes me happy ^__^

I loved the British compass, my relatives have quite a few items from ww2 & ww1. Maybe your vid has inspired me to make a vid on such items:)

Oh I will try to find it for you. It's quite a long program and I only have a printed out version on paper so I'll have to scan it afterwards. Don't get your hopes up but I'll try to find it for you.

I'm an hobby programmer too, could I get that enigma code?

Those are cool original stuff. Who has a geiger counter and a prehistoric photo camera?
By: EddyBergman. on 21 Dec 08, 17:49:45
Haha yes, you're absolutely right. The end was the most boring stuff. ^___^ But well, it was the only stuff that came to hand =]
By: RealizedRealization. on 21 Dec 08, 15:20:37
Cool stuff, but the in the end it got a little out of hand. =)

Haha I loved Basic too. When I started getting lessons at school I knew nothing about it and a month later I got my MSX-2 and I finished the schoolbook 6 months early. I always had straight A's in programming. I wish I knew as much about C++. Thanks I'll look for that simulator!
By: zebidee55. on 21 Dec 08, 13:47:27
Ah, I still love BASIC! It's the only computer language I ever knew well. The electronic Enigma machine kit in the Bletchley Park shop looked cool, but was over £100!! I have seen a good Flash simulator at enigmaco (dot) de
By: EddyBergman. on 21 Dec 08, 13:39:46
That might be an idea. To put an enigma together from parts. I did almost buy a set of rotors on a militaria-fair but even they were quite expensive. When I had my old MSX computer I wrote a program that simulated the enigma. I still have the code (in Basic haha).

Yes, it looks like one of the ones used by bomber crew designed to be read under 'black lights'. Yes, the USAF was formed in 1947, so during the war it would have been the USAAF (but of course you'd know that). Afford one and find one! I've seen parts on ebay or whole units which were later versions.

Well I personally don't like videos that are too long so I try to keep mine under 5 minutes as a rule. Glad you like it Jordan :)

Thanks!

This flightcomputer is an original one as used in WW-2 bombers. It says: Property of the US Army Airforces. If it just says US Airforce then it's from after the war. An Enigma. Boy if I only could afford one. ^__^
By: zebidee55. on 21 Dec 08, 13:02:49
Haha! Yes! I totally recognised the flight computer!! Mine is slightly different in that it has a sliding central section (it's an E6B from memory), but I think those more compact ones are easier to use. I haven't used it since Flight School, but I still like circular slide rules like you find in pilot's watches. They're great for things like currency conversions. Very cool stuff you have there! Now for an Enigma machine... ;D
